‘As eardrums batten down the hatches, Motorhead’s blistering, sociopathic hard rock confirms they are one of the few bands left whose sounds can be justifiably described as “the devil’s music”.’ The Guardian, 2009

Motorhead have today announced that Michael Monroe will be their special guest on their upcoming 35th Anniversary tour.

Michael Monroe has long been at the forefront of breaking music barriers. The Finnish musician and multi-instrumentalist rose to fame as the singer for HANOI ROCKS and has served as the frontman for many all-star collaborations including GUNS ‘N ROSES and DEMOLITION 23 with Little Steven. Coming off the Hanoi Rocks reunion from 2002-2008, Michael returns with his highly anticipated new group. Together they will perform an assortment of material ranging from Hanoi Rocks and Demolition 23 classics, Michael Monroe solo favorites and three to four brand new songs the band has written over the last few months.

Motorhead have announced that they will once again be hitting the road for their annual UK tour this November. 2010 is a special year for the band, led by legendary frontman Lemmy Kilmister featuring Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee, as it marks Motorhead’s 35th Anniversary as well as the release of a brand new studio album (further details to follow)

2010 will prove to be a busy year for the band, not only will the they be embarking on their usual UK tour this November, complete with a brand new studio album under their belts, the band have also been confirmed for Download Festival, helping to celebrate 30 years of unrivalled rock/metal at Donnington Park (of which they have been an integral part, having played there on 4 separate occasions). It doesn’t stop there though, Lemmy will also be returning to the silver screen with the release of ‘Lemmy: The Movie’ later this year (further details tba).

Having spent the last three and a half decades proving that as far as they are concerned, everything really is louder than everything else, Motorhead will pull out all the stops to make sure that their 35th Anniversary tour is not one to be missed. On the band’s 35th Anniversary tour, Lemmy had the following to say:

Make sure you’re down the front to celebrate with them when the tour thunders through a city near you this November.
